Behind every great conversation is a team of people working together to make it happen.
The Nigeria Youth Internet Governance Forum (NYIGF) 2026 is looking for committed, motivated, and enthusiastic young people to join our volunteer team and help make this year’s forum a meaningful and impactful experience.
Under the theme “The Internet We Want: Youth Leading the Conversation,” NYIGF 2026 will bring young Nigerians and stakeholders together to discuss the issues shaping our digital future.
But creating a successful forum takes more than speakers and participants. It takes a dedicated team working behind the scenes to coordinate activities, support participants, manage communications, create engaging experiences, and ensure everything comes together. This is where you come in.
Why Volunteer with NYIGF?
Volunteering with NYIGF gives you an opportunity to contribute to an important national conversation while working alongside other young people who are passionate about technology, Internet Governance, digital rights, cybersecurity, AI, digital inclusion, and the future of the Internet.
As part of the volunteer team, you will have the opportunity to:
- Contribute your skills and ideas to a national youth-focused Internet Governance forum.
- Work with a diverse team of young people and professionals.
- Gain practical experience in event coordination, communications, community engagement, media, logistics, and other areas.
- Build connections with other young leaders and members of the Internet Governance community.
- Support conversations that give young Nigerians a stronger voice in shaping our digital future.
Whether you have experience volunteering at events or this would be your first time, we encourage you to apply if you are willing to learn, contribute, and work as part of a team.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for young people who are:
- Committed and dependable.
- Passionate about technology, Internet Governance, or youth participation.
- Willing to contribute their time, skills, ideas, and energy.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with others.
- Ready to learn and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
You do not need to be an Internet Governance expert to volunteer. What matters is your willingness to contribute and your commitment to helping create a successful NYIGF 2026.
