As preparations begin for the Nigeria Youth Internet Governance Forum (NYIGF) 2026, we are inviting young Nigerians across the country to tell us about the digital issues that matter most to them.
The Internet is changing how we learn, work, communicate, create, access opportunities, and participate in society. As these changes continue, young people must have a meaningful role in shaping the conversations and policies that determine how the digital future looks.

What Digital Issues Matter to You?
The NYIGF 2026 Call for Issues gives young Nigerians an opportunity to identify the challenges, opportunities, questions, and emerging trends they believe deserve greater attention.
We want to hear from you about the issues affecting your experience online and the digital future you want to help build.
Some of the areas we are interested in include:
Internet Access and Connectivity
How can we make meaningful and affordable Internet access available to more Nigerians, particularly young people and underserved communities?
Digital Rights
What should be done to protect freedom of expression, privacy, access to information, and other rights in the digital environment?
Online Safety
What challenges are young people facing online, and what can be done to create safer and more inclusive digital spaces?
Artificial Intelligence
How is AI changing education, employment, creativity, business, governance, and everyday life? What opportunities and concerns should Nigeria be discussing?
Accessibility and Inclusion
How can we ensure that people with different abilities, backgrounds, locations, and circumstances can participate meaningfully in the digital ecosystem?
Digital Participation and Youth Voice
How can young Nigerians become more involved in the policies and decisions that shape the Internet?

NYIGF is built around the belief that young people should have a meaningful place in conversations about the Internet and digital policy. The issues submitted through this Call for Issues will help us understand what young Nigerians are thinking about, what challenges they are experiencing, and what opportunities they believe deserve attention.
Your contributions will help inform the development of the NYIGF 2026 programme, including potential themes, panel discussions, sessions, and areas of focus. The ideas and concerns shared may also contribute to policy conversations and recommendations at national, regional, and global Internet Governance Forum platforms.

Who Can Participate?
We want to hear from young Nigerians from different backgrounds, communities, professions, and experiences. You do not need to be an Internet governance expert to participate.
Whether you are a student discovering these issues for the first time, a young professional working in technology, a researcher, entrepreneur, developer, creative, activist, policymaker, community organiser, or simply someone who uses the Internet every day, your perspective is valuable. Your lived experience is part of the conversation.
